Atlas Capital Group was founded in 2018 by a team of former operators and investors who believed the lower middle market deserved the same rigor — and the same respect — as the world's largest deals.
A firm built around a simple thesis.
The lower middle market — companies between £5M and £50M of revenue — is where most of the developed world's economic value is actually created. It is also the part of the market that institutional capital has historically ignored: too small for the megafunds, too complex for the search funds, and too important to hand to anyone who has not done the work.
We started Atlas to close that gap. We brought together former CEOs of industrial businesses, partners from blue-chip private equity firms, and engineers from the best technology companies in London and New York. We built a platform that scans every available source of deal flow continuously, scores opportunities with proprietary AI, and lets our team focus on what only humans can do: judgment, relationships, and value creation.
Five years on, we are stewards of fourteen platform companies, more than 4,200 employees, and the trust of a small group of long-duration limited partners who share our patience.
